#gooutside : Mountain Biking at North Table Mountain, Colorado

Another great find, only 30 minutes from downtown Denver, is North Table Mountain in Golden, Colorado.  Whether you're looking to get a quick break at lunch or a full day of hiking, North Table is a perfect quick getaway.  Having hiked multiple times to watch the sun rise over Denver, biking the mountain was all new territory for me.

For a novice biker, it will be a great workout getting to the top of the 6400' mesa - the total climb is ~1000' with 5% average grade (highest grade is 16%).  For the typical adventuring Coloradan, this ride will be a breeze.  I recommend taking the route as mentioned on mtbproject.com for first timers.  Upon reaching the mesa, you'll find an open plains type setting that offers a unique perspective.

North Table is also known for its sport climbing areas featuring over 350 routes on Mountain Project.  Once our prototype shoe Project Challenge is complete, we will be sure to come back with a review of our favorite routes!
